Here’s Rinpoche’ statement:

This is to inform you that my uncle Thondup Dorjee passed away today the Full moon day at 5 pm Indian time at the age of 90. He had some yogurt and some milk about half an hour before and also took one Karmapa black pill. He did not seem to be in any kind of pain or discomfort. Then he seem to go to sleep and after sometime when mother looked to see if he needed anything he was no more. He was sleeping on his right side. It was like going to sleep. I have already informed HH the Gyalwang Karmapa, H.E. Tai Situ Rinpoche, H.E. Goshir Gyaltsap Rinpoche, Dodrupchen Rinpoche, Thrangu Rinpoche, Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche, Bod Tulku Rinpoche and Lachung Rinpoche who was kind enough to come and do prayers. We have monks from Chorten Monastery and Rumtek monastery already doing practices. The monks in Rigul Monastery in Tibet are also informed. We will continue to inform and ask prayers from Rinpoches and Monasteries of course starting from HH the Dalai Lama.

He was very happy to visit many of the countries in the west and continued to talk about his pleasant times there. Please pray for his smooth transit and that he will be able to continue his Bodhisattva activities in a grand way. Kindly inform people who might like to know.

Thank you,
Ringu Tulku
